Because Covid-19 is primarily transmitted via microdroplets, ventilation is important. Fans will direct air flow to enhance safety. An air purifier with a HEPA filter will be running in the space. In addition, the house, which only has massage clients in it, has a hospital grade filter in its furnace.
All clients must be fully vaccinated, as am I. And we will be wearing masks.
This is the cleaning protocol that I use before and after each massage to keep us as safe as possible. The disinfectant used is on the CDC list of recommended disinfectants known to kill SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes Covid-19.

After Massage:
- Wash hands
- Disinfect desk, file cabinet, and chairs
- Unload apron of all items and disinfect, placing them on desk
- Strip linens
- take off apron and place on massage table
- put all massage linens and towels in cinched laundry bag, which will all be washed and dried on hot and stored in their own disinfected cabinet.
- Lysol empty laundry basket
- Wash hands
- Scrub hot stones and cooker. Lay stones out to dry.
- Spray peroxide on stones
- Wipe massage table, face cradle, cords, and bolsters with disinfectant
- Store bolsters
- Lysol bolster basket
- Wipe down diffuser, speaker, hot stone and towel caddies, and phone with disinfectant wipes
- Check HEPA filter, wipe down
- Wipe down fan with disinfectant wipe and disinfectant spray
- Wipe, apply disinfectant to all surfaces

- Turn stones over, spray with peroxide
- Mop floors
- Place all clothing and masks with linens in washer and start laundry
- Spray disinfectant in room and leave for at least 1 hour
Before Massage:
- Wash hands
- Load and turn on hot stones, towel caddies
- Set up diffuser
- Turn on table heat
- Fold laundry & store
- Wash hands
- Dress table
- Candles
- Start fan
- Start music
- Wash and sanitize hands
